Job summary

South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Contracts Manager to lead the operational management of a portfolio of NHS commissioning and provider contracts in the South London Partnership. The role covers contract development, mobilisation, variations and annual negotiations, with a focus on performance, quality and financial delivery.

The post is part-time (18.75 hours per week) with flexible and hybrid working; Lewisham Town Hall is the base, enabling strong collaboration

Qualifications

• Experience in NHS commissioning or contract management with performance reporting and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication and relationship management skills for fast-paced NHS environments.

Responsibilities

• Managing NHS Standard Contracts and contract variations.
• Leading contract performance, quality and finance review meetings.
• Monitoring activity, KPIs, quality indicators and contractual compliance.
• Supporting contract negotiations and annual contract planning.
• Preparing reports for senior management, commissioners and governance groups.
• Working with operational, finance, quality and clinical teams to resolve contractual issues.
• Supporting procurement, mobilisation and implementation of new services.
• Developing and maintaining contract registers and governance documentation.
• Identifying, escalating and mitigating contractual and operational risks.
• Building relationships with commissioners, providers and partner organisations.
