Position: NHS CLINICAL SCIENTIST BAND 7 (MRI, Ultrasound and Non-Ionising Radiation)

Institution: Northern Ireland Regional Medical Physics Service, Belfast Health and Social Care Trust

Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland

The Non-Ionising Radiation Group of the Radiological Imaging and Protection Service is seeking to appoint a Band 7 Clinical Scientist to be part of a team providing comprehensive MRI, Ultrasound and Non-Ionising Radiation protection services to Health and Social Care Trusts and other organisations in Northern Ireland.

Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in the provision of scientific support to departments using MRI, Ultrasound, and Non-Ionising Radiation.
  2. Provide direct support to the MRI and Ultrasound Clinical Scientist leads and the Laser Protection Adviser.
  3. Assist in the teaching and training activities of the group.
  4. Undertake work on research and development projects.

The post is based at Forster Green Hospital Site in Belfast and will involve service provision and travel across Northern Ireland.

Full-time: 37.5 hours per week
