Job summary

NHS Scotland is recruiting a Fulltime Band 4 Assistant Practitioner to join the health team at HMP Grampian in the northeast of Scotland. The post supports clinical staff in delivering routine clinics and care within the Health Centre and, at times, in residential prison halls.

You will work closely with the multidisciplinary health team and the Scottish Prison Service. A caring environment background and strong communication skills are essential for this challenging role in a busy prison

Qualifications

• Experience of working within a caring environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and an interest in developing health and care knowledge in relation to prison nursing.

Responsibilities

• Support clinical staff to deliver routine clinics/care within the Health Centre and Residential Prison Halls.
• Collaborate with the wider multidisciplinary health team and the Scottish Prison Service.
• Adapt to the busy, emotionally and physically demanding prison environment.
