How you make a difference

As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will support patient care by gathering essential information under the supervision of Registered Nurses. Your role involves assisting nurses, leveraging your education and skills to contribute effectively to healthcare delivery, and supporting high-quality patient care through collaboration with the nursing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with RNs and healthcare staff, following policies and procedures to ensure quality care, using proper techniques and safety measures.
  • Gather patient history, verify medications, and make appropriate follow-up referrals.
  • Follow work schedules, respond to codes or patient crises as per policies, and assist healthcare practitioners as needed.
  • Prioritize infection control and contribute to patient comfort and safety.
  • Maintain work areas, supplies, and equipment, attending mandatory meetings and training to uphold healthcare standards.
Additional Details

Certified Medical Assistant position, 0830-1700, rotating weekends and holidays. Must have phlebotomy experience, manual blood pressure skills, EKG collection, and centrifuge use. Must have a clean criminal history. Certification required—no exceptions. Benefits and PTO offered.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Successful completion of an accredited CMA course.

Experience

  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Current Medical Assistant certification as required by the State or facility.
  • CPR certification, if required, must be obtainable and maintained.
