Job summary

UTV in Belfast is seeking an experienced journalist to join the Content Editor team. You will support planning and coordinating day-to-day news gathering for online and on-screen output.

You will produce whole programmes as required and curate ITVX and our news sites, while guiding editorial strategy with the Head of News and Programmes when needed. A qualified journalist to NCTJ level or equivalent with at least three years in a broadcast newsroom or similar is required, with strong editorial

• Qualified journalist to NCTJ level or equivalent with at least 3 years in broadcast newsroom or equivalent.
• Ability to work across online and on-screen platforms with multi-media storytelling.
• Strong editorial judgement, knowledge of Ofcom Code, privacy, and health and safety law.
• Proven capacity to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate day-to-day news gathering for online and broadcast.
• Produce whole programmes as required and curate ITVX content.
• Deputise for Senior Content Editor or Head of News and Programmes when needed.
• Collaborate with News Management and production teams.
