Job summary

Genpower Ltd is seeking experienced Warehouse Operatives for our Newport site. This role involves picking and packing orders, receiving goods, and maintaining accurate stock records in a fast-paced environment.

You will work a 40-hour week on a rota, with some Saturday and bank holiday shifts. The Newport site is a modern 100,000 sq ft facility with multiple loading docks, offering a collaborative team culture and opportunities to develop within a growing business.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience is essential.
• Order picking experience is essential.
• Ability to work with accuracy is important.
• Great team player with collaborative mindset.
• Forklift license is desirable but not essential.
• VNA license is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Picking and packing orders.
• Receiving goods and deliveries including offloading shipment containers.
• Storing received goods in designated locations.
• Checking loads for damage or missing items and labeling correctly.
• Packing and palletising goods for dispatch.
• Ensuring stock figures are accurate and up to date.
• Assist with physical inventory and regular stock counts.
• Coordinate use of ERP and warehouse management systems.
• Resolve stock discrepancies and improve stock processes.
• Oversee stock storage including tagging, boxing and labeling.
• Conduct internal stock movements within the warehouse.
• Attend End of Year Stock Count.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Perform ad hoc tasks across warehouse operations.
