Are you a recent graduate of a PGCE program or in the process of finishing your NQT year?

If so, we have opportunities for Newly Qualified Teachers to join schools across Newport and Torfaen.

We know that it can be hard securing your first long-term position as an NQT/ECT and we want to offer you that opportunity to start your teaching career. We will ensure that any long-term placements are in a school that aligns with your skill sets. We can support you in finding a specialist NQT mentor, who will support you through your placement and induction year.

For individuals looking to fulfil their NQT year through supply teaching, our Guaranteed Work Scheme guarantees placements for 5 days a week. This ensures a consistent stream of opportunities across different schools, allowing you to successfully complete your induction year through guaranteed work.

As an NQT, you will be developing and delivering lessons in addition to working and collaborating with other staff to meet the expectations of the school.
