Role Overview:
The firm is seeking a Newly Qualified Solicitor to join their Litigation Department. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload, providing high-quality legal services across multiple areas, including Personal Injury, Medical Negligence, Family Law, and Criminal Law. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop litigation skills within a supportive and client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of litigation matters from inception to resolution.
  • Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients in areas such as Personal Injury, Medical Negligence, Family Law, and Criminal Law.
  • Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
  • Conduct legal research to support case strategies and client advice.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, negotiations, and alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and records in compliance with firm policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
  • Engage in business development activities to promote the firm’s services and build client relationships.

Criteria:

  • Qualified Solicitor in Northern Ireland (or qualifying 2025)
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in litigation, particularly in Personal Injury, Medical Negligence, Family Law, or Criminal Law.
  • Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases effectively, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality client care and maintaining professional integrity.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and case management systems.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in attending court hearings and managing own caseload.
  • Familiarity with the regulatory framework governing legal practice in Northern Ireland.
