Following the announcement of the new ARRS GP role available to PCNs, Leeds Student Medical Practice seeks an enthusiastic, newly qualified GP to join on a fixed term until 31st March 2026. This role is part of the PCN ARRS scheme, with potential extension depending on NHS funding and guidance.
The role will be based at Leeds Student Medical Practice on the outskirts of Leeds city centre.
Applicants must be within 2 years of completing their CCT and must NOT have had substantive employment in a GP practice.

Main duties of the job
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide face-to-face and telephone consultations for routine and urgent care.
- Conduct patient home visits (low frequency).
- Manage patient care in surgery, including investigating results, developing care plans, and making referrals.
- Issue and sign repeat prescriptions following guidelines.
- Handle patient queries, test results, and referral letters promptly.
- Record consultation notes accurately using EMIS.
- Deliver safe, evidence-based, and cost-effective care aligned with protocols and NICE guidance.
- Prescribe medications within your scope of practice.
- Review and manage patient medications per policies and guidelines.
- Collaborate with clinical and support staff for holistic, patient-centered care.
- Participate in MDT and care conference meetings as required.
- Participate in on-call duties on a pro-rata basis if needed.

Person Specification
Experience
- Recently qualified GP (within 2 years) or completed GP training.
- Fully GMC registered.
- Excellent communication skills.

- Experience with EMIS preferred.
