Job description

We are recruiting a newly qualified GP - the criteria is inline with the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (qualified within 2 yearsof certificate of completion training)

To be eligible for this role, you must be within two yearsof certificate of completion of training at the start date of employment andhave not previously held a substantive post as a General Practitioner.

The post holder will workas an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medicalservices to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard ofclinical care whilst complying with the contract.

Main duties of the job

As a salaried GP, your will play a crucial role in theprovision of primary healthcare services.

Undertake surgery consultations including face-to-face,digital, online, telephone

Delivery of Enhance service appointments and same day access.

The delivery of highly effective medical care to theentitled population

The provision of services commensurate with the primary carecontract.

Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance.

Effective management of long-term conditions.

Processing of administration in a timely manner, includingreferrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrativetasks On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles.Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policyand guidance

Working collaboratively, accepting an equal share of thepractice workload

Adhere to best practice recommended through clinicalguidelines and the audit process

Contribute to the successful implementation of continuousimprovement and quality initiatives within the practice

Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (orareas)

Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings asrequired

Ensure compliance with the appraisal process

Prepare and complete the revalidation process

About us

Our PCN consists of nine practices with a total populationof approx. 46,000 patients. We are situated in central Walsall and we currentlyhave 21 staff working under the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme acrossour PCN.

Work with patients in order to support compliance with and adherence to prescribed treatments.

Support patients to adopt health promotion strategies that promote healthy lifestyles and applyprinciples of self-care. Support and manage health needs of patients presenting for family planningor sexual health consultations

Working collaboratively, accepting an equal share of thepractice workload

Adhere to best practice recommended through clinicalguidelines and the audit process

Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.

Contribute to the successful implementation of continuousimprovement and quality initiatives within the practice

Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings asrequired

Ensure compliance with the appraisal process

Prepare and complete the revalidation process
