Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for a newly qualified Prosecutions Lawyer to join a well-regarded London Borough Council on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Our client seeks a Prosecutions Lawyer with ideally some local authority experience to join their friendly and welcoming team.

This role offers an initial 12-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension or permanence. It is a full-time role requiring attendance at the office twice a week and court appearances as needed. Candidates should be able to commute to South London.

The main duties include handling prosecutions caseloads related to:

• Planning
• Education
• Trading Standards
• Environmental and Housing issues

We are seeking a Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive with prior prosecutions experience. Newly qualified candidates from other public sector backgrounds with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
