Job description

You’ve just qualified as a nurse and are looking to choose your first job. We’ve come to the right place.

When you join Elysium as a newly qualified Registered Nurse, you are automatically enrolled onto our Preceptorship Academy. This includes 12 months of expert support, training, and supervision to help you apply your academic knowledge in real-life situations.

You will develop into a confident, autonomous professional with refined skills, values, and behaviors. Alongside your role, you will help change lives and make a difference.

As a preceptee nurse, you’ll work 37.5 hours per week (12-hour shifts) at Thornford Park, supporting people with mental health conditions through their recovery pathway to lead fulfilling and independent lives.

Where you will be working:

Location: Thornford Park, Crookham Hill, Thatcham, Berkshire, RG19 8ET

Thornford Park comprises medium and low secure units and rehabilitation flats, supporting patients in recovery and rehabilitation. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide personalized assessment and treatment for males with mental illness, complex needs, or personality disorders, some with histories of offending or previous placement failures.
