Job description

Step up your legal career at a prestigious Legal 500 Firm renowned for its dynamic Employment Team, based in the bustling heart of Northamptonshire. This esteemed firm is actively seeking a diligent and adept solicitor, ideally with NQ-2 years PQE in employment law matters. However, the essence of the search is to secure an individual whose ethos and approach seamlessly align with the firm's values, team dynamics, and client relations, thus opening the doors for more seasoned solicitors to apply. You will need to demonstrate some Employment Law matters either within a Training Seat or in a Paralegal capacity.

Embark on a fulfilling journey where your expertise will be pivotal in handling a broad spectrum of contentious and non-contentious matters. The role demands a professional who thrives on providing advice on settlement agreements, adeptly navigating disciplinary and grievance issues, and confidently managing employment tribunal cases.

Your caseload will consist of matters including:

  1. TUPE
  2. Settlement Agreements
  3. Discrimination
  4. Labour and Employment Law
  5. Whistleblower
  6. TUPE Transfers
  7. Dismissal
  8. Constructive Dismissal
  9. Employment Tribunal

The firm places a premium on exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of juggling multiple files and meeting stringent deadlines. A collaborative spirit is essential to foster strong relationships with clients and team members alike. Sharp problem-solving acumen, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in legal research and document drafting are indispensable.

In this role, technological adeptness is as crucial as legal prowess, with an expectation for high levels of IT literacy and self-sufficiency. Moreover, the firm upholds the highest standards of client care and compliance, which the ideal candidate will embody.

A proactive interest in marketing and strategic team development is also sought after, as the firm values forward-thinking contributions to its growth.

The position is primarily office-based, promoting a collaborative environment that facilitates professional growth and knowledge sharing. Occasional travel to other office locations and client sites will provide a stimulating change of scenery and further client engagement.

For those eager to propel their career within a supportive and high-calibre team, this role promises more than just a job – it is a chance to become an integral part of a forward-thinking firm that values and invests in its people.
