Job description

Are you a newly qualified dentist looking for the perfect next step after your DFT or DCT? At Rodericks Dental Partners, we understand the transition into your first role as an Associate Dentist, which is why we offer our bespoke FD+1 scheme—designed to provide the support, training, and confidence you need to thrive in both NHS and private dentistry.

What is the FD+1 Scheme?

Our FD+1 programme is tailored to help you build on your foundation training with continued hands-on learning and dedicated clinical support, including:

  • Hands-on study days to enhance your clinical skills
  • Dedicated Zoom sessions with our Clinical Lead for expert guidance
  • A peer support network of fellow FD+1 dentists across the business
  • Ongoing mentorship and development to help you grow in confidence

This is a fantastic opportunity to continue learning in a supportive, structured environment while gaining exposure to both NHS and private dentistry, specialist pathways, and high-earning potential.

Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive dental care across NHS and private sectors, ensuring high clinical standards
  • Develop tailored treatment plans and foster strong, lasting patient relationships
  • Achieve UDA targets that drive performance and unlock significant earning potential
  • Capitalise on private income opportunities to maximise your financial rewards
  • Collaborate with a supportive, multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes
  • Embrace continuous professional development and training to advance your skills
  • Contribute to practice initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and patient satisfaction

What we offer

  • Competitive Earnings: Attractive UDA rates and private revenue splits, maximising your earning potential plus the ability to increase your earnings through our Dentist Incentive program
  • Extra Perks: All FD+1s who join Rodericks Dental Partners can take advantage of our InvisalignGo course for a hugely discounted rate of £95
  • Advanced equipment: Work with the latest tools, including Itero scanners and OPG machines for better patient care
  • Hands-on experience: Attend study days with experienced speakers in restorative dentistry, endodontics, clinical photography, composite bonding and oral surgery. Refine your skills and apply them to practice
  • Professional Support & Development: CPD funding, mentorship programs, and clinical autonomy to make the best decisions for your patients
  • State-of-the-Art Facilities: Access to advanced equipment and modern labs in a clinically led environment
  • Work-Life Balance: Flexible working arrangements within a supportive, NHS-committed team
  • Admin-Free Focus: We handle the administrative and regulatory burden, so you can focus on delivering excellent patient care

Our Culture and Values

Our fundamental and overriding belief is to provide high quality care to our patients. We believe in making decisions based on putting the interests of our patients first. We are an expanding and dynamic group of dental practices offering NHS and Private care throughout England and Wales. As we are clinically led, we understand the clinical aspects of the profession, and not just the business of dentistry. We believe in supporting our dentists with the best resources, training, and opportunities to thrive.

What we look for

  • Hold a recognised dental qualification (BDS or equivalent) and be registered with the General Dental Council
  • Possess a current performer number
  • Be a newly qualified dentist looking for their next step after DFT or DCT
  • Demonstrate excellent clinical and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to high-quality patient care
  • Ability to thrive in a target-driven environment while delivering both NHS and private dental treatments
