Management Accountant (4-day week/Belfast)

VANRATH is delighted to be working exclusively with an innovative, award-winning business to recruit a Management Accountant to join the growing finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity in the NI market, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to work a 4-day week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the general ledger.
  • Monitor and improve financial systems and procedures.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Develop and maintain effective financial controls across invoicing, purchasing, credit control, and financial reporting.
  • Manage, monitor, and review all financial accounts and activities to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Advise senior leadership on financial decisions and implications to ensure growth and profitability.
  • Assist with reporting, auditing, and ensure timely completion.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure full compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Mentor and manage accounting staff, participating in meetings as required.
  • Collaborate closely with the Group Financial Controller on business projects, strategies, or plans.

The Person:

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with ideally 1 year PQE.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience using SAGE.
