About your team:

At British Gas, our mission is to sell it and mend it. We're powering 1 in 3 UK homes, making homes greener and more energy efficient with Hive's technology like thermostats, heat pumps, solar panels, and EV chargers. Our Peak Save programme rewards better energy use.

This role is based in Crawley & Reigate.

Kickstart Your Career as a Gas Engineer:

Limited spots for 2025 ALP intake! The ALP salary starts at £32,866, rising to £43,733 upon course completion. Classroom training at Dartford or Thatcham academies, with accommodation supplied where applicable.

We understand starting without experience is challenging. That's why we've created the Advanced Learning Programme (ALP), designed for newly qualified recruits eager to build a rewarding career as gas engineers. We're looking for motivated individuals to join us in 2025.

What You'll Do:

• Comprehensive Training: A two-year programme with 40 weeks of classroom training and hands-on field training.
• Progressive Learning: Gradually take on more responsibility with full support.
• Achieve Full Qualification: Become a fully qualified gas engineer by the end of the programme.

What We're Looking For:

• Qualifications: Current ACS accreditation (CCN1, CENWAT or CEN1/WAT1, CPA1).
• Passion and Motivation: Commitment to learning and skill development.
• Can-Do Attitude: Drive to face challenges and succeed.
• Experience: 1 year of hands-on experience is ideal but not required; attitude and motivation are key.
• Driving: Full UK driving licence with 6 points or less.
