Job description

NEW VACANCY: Rural Property Associate/Partner | £70k - £90k | Exeter/Plymouth | Hybrid Working

Experienced Property Lawyer with a strong background in rural and residential property?
Do you enjoy advising HNW individuals, landed estates, and financial institutions?
Are you ready to join a leading regional firm in a senior role with real scope for growth?

A Top 100 South West law firm is looking to recruit a senior lawyer or partner into its growing Residential & Rural Property team. With flexibility to be based in Exeter or Plymouth, this role aims to expand their rural non-contentious property offering.

In this role, you'll work closely with a wide range of clients—from private individuals to institutions with significant rural holdings—on high-value, complex transactions. You’ll manage your own caseload while also helping to develop the team’s presence in the market. Alongside day-to-day client work, you’ll take the lead on business development and play an active role in generating new opportunities and growing long-term relationships.

You should already have experience in a successful residential or agricultural property team, with a strong technical understanding and the confidence to manage matters independently.

In return, you'll join a friendly, collaborative team in a firm that genuinely supports your career development. Expect a competitive salary and an attractive benefits package, including hybrid working, private medical cover, enhanced parental leave, income protection, and extra days off including your birthday. You'll also have access to a range of wellbeing and lifestyle perks, from gym discounts and mental health support to flexible leave and discounted legal services.
