Job summary

Land Rover at Droitwich is hiring a Vehicle Preparation Technician to ensure used vehicles meet Land Rover standards before delivery. You will inspect, service, fit accessories, and perform mechanical repairs as needed at our Droitwich site.

The role requires a full UK driving licence and NVQ level 3 or equivalent, with training provided to maintain high workshop standards and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role as a fully or part-qualified technician.
• Full UK driving licence essential due to road testing.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Experience in automotive service environments welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections on used vehicles to Land Rover standards.
• Perform mechanical repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Carry out multipoint inspections and road tests as required.
• Fit approved accessories and complete documentation before handover.

Job description

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Vehicle Preparation Technician to join our Land Rover team at our Droitwich site.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm including 1 in 4 Saturdays.

You will play a key role in preparing used vehicles to Land Rover's high standards before delivery to customers.

Your responsibilities will include carrying out multipoint inspections, routine servicing, maintenance, accessory fitting, and mechanical repairs.

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections on used vehicles to Land Rover standards
• Perform mechanical repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines
• Conduct visual inspections of vehicle exteriors and interiors
• Fit approved accessories
• Complete all relevant documentation prior to vehicle handover
• Carry out road testing where necessary

• To be considered, you must have previous experience in a similar role as either a fully qualified or part-qualified technician.
• A full UK driving licence is essential, as road testing may be required.
• We consider candidates from all backgrounds who have experience working in the Automotive sector as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, Motor Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, HGV Fitter, Auto Electrician, MOT Tester or Apprentice Vehicle Technician to join Listers.
• As a minimum you will hold or working towards completion of your NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Whether you work at an independent garage, fast fit centre, car supermarket or main dealer, we would be interested in talking to you.

We offer a competitive basic salary of up to £32,000 with an OTE of up to £39,000, plus an excellent benefits package.
