The Role:

  1. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, focusing on expanding the domestic health sector pipeline.
  2. Lead diverse healthcare, strategic communications, and issue-based campaigns for clients.
  3. Manage and strengthen client relationships by overseeing projects, directing teams, allocating resources, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  4. Deliver exceptional client service through proactive account management, acting as the primary contact, and guiding staff to support and grow partnerships.
  5. Develop and execute integrated campaigns to communicate client messages effectively to policymakers, civil servants, media, trade associations, consumers, and stakeholders.
  6. Drive strategic planning and message development for new business pursuits and ongoing projects.
  7. Stay informed on developments within client issue areas and identify opportunities for engagement and support.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • 9+ years of UK healthcare, public affairs, and strategic communications agency experience. In-house experience is also considered.
  • Strong expertise in navigating UK health policy issues.
  • Deep understanding of public and government affairs.
  • Self-directed, proactive, motivated, with a strong appetite for new business generation.
  • Experience leading teams and managing work streams, serving as senior counsel on major projects.
  • Desire to learn and grow across industries, sectors, and communication mediums.
  • Proven success in strategic stakeholder engagement and new business initiatives.
  • Strong enthusiasm and connections in the UK health space, with understanding of NICE processes and UK reimbursement landscape.
  • In-depth knowledge of the ABPI code and advising clients on navigating it.
  • Strong interest in UK politics, with understanding of Westminster & Whitehall, relationship-building, and policy development.
Benefits Include:
  • 25 days holiday plus Christmas office closure
  • Enhanced parental leave
  • Employee assistance programme
  • Life assurance, income protection, private medical insurance
  • Season ticket loans, spot bonuses, anniversary awards
  • iPhone and laptop
