Job summary

Reed Engineering & Manufacturing is seeking an experienced NPI Manager/Programme Manager to drive the successful launch of new products and manufacturing improvements. You will lead readiness activities across Operations, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, HSE, NPI, and Supply Chain to ensure products are ready to meet safety, quality, delivery and productivity targets.

The role requires proven project delivery in manufacturing, strong stakeholder management, and proficiency with Excel, MS

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex manufacturing projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and planning skills.
• Experience in regulated industries preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel, MS Project and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Lead production readiness for new product introductions and manufacturing improvements.
• Develop and manage launch plans with milestones and requirements.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams for readiness.
• Drive PFMEA, control plans, and launch risk assessments.
• Ensure SOPs, training, work instructions, and safety docs before implementation.
• Support ramp-up and resolve start-up issues with structured problem solving.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Reed Engineering & Manufacturing are recruiting for an experienced New Product Introduction (NPI) Manager/ Programme Manager to join a leading engineering & manufacturing organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the successful launch of new products, processes, and manufacturing improvements. Working across Operations, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, HSE, NPI, and Supply Chain, you will ensure production activities are fully prepared to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead production readiness activities for new product introductions and manufacturing improvement projects.
• Develop and manage launch plans, ensuring milestones and operational requirements are achieved.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturing and operational readiness.
• Drive risk mitigation activities including PFMEA, control plans, and launch risk assessments.
• Ensure SOPs, training materials, work instructions, and safety documentation are in place prior to implementation.
• Support production ramp-up activities and resolve start-up issues through structured problem-solving.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, customer, and regulatory requirements.

About You

• Previous experience in Manufacturing, Operations, NPI, Programme Management, Project Management, or Production Readiness.
• Proven track record of delivering complex projects within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong stakeholder management, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within engineering, aerospace, defence, nuclear, metals, or other highly regulated industries.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, MS Project, Power BI, and project management tools.
