Job description

We're looking for someone to support all product development activities within our chilled range categories. You will ensure that the Existing Product Development (EPD) and New Product Development (NPD) processes are completed on time and fully.

You will be part of the full Concept to Launch process, analyzing category data to identify opportunities for Morrisons, staying updated on market trends to ensure our products are best in class. Regular benchmarking sessions will be conducted to meet targets. The role is primarily based at Greenside manufacturing site, with occasional meetings at Morrisons Head Office in Bradford and visits to other sites and suppliers. There may also be occasional weekend work during peak seasons.

What are the responsibilities for this role?

• Support the concept to launch process
• Assist the NPD Specialist and Manager in delivering the Site Product Development Plan
• Participate in customer research listening groups and debriefs
• Deliver concise category analysis from trusted data sources
• Collaborate with the operations team to ensure chilled products are best in class
• Work with technical experts to safeguard product quality for Morrisons customers
• Ensure products are profitably priced and meet margin expectations
• Prepare and price samples accurately and promptly for customer presentations

About you

You should have a passion for food and an eye for detail, with knowledge of the chilled market and experience in food development. Strong relationship-building skills, influencing ability, enthusiasm, and commercial judgment are essential.
