New Product Development Manager

Are you a trail blazing NPD Manager within the pet sector looking to take on a new challenge?

Do you thrive developing new lines from the ground up to be head of the curve on emerging consumer trends?

Are you confident managing the end-to-end NPD process, both thinking strategically while being hands on to deliver results?

Macgregor Black are delighted to partner with a Leading FMCG brand in the search for an NPD Manager. This is a permanent role based in Yorkshire.

As NPD Manager, you will be responsible for managing the full product development process, from concept to launch, ensuring the delivery of commercially successful and innovative pet food products. You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, including manufacturing, to communicate market demands and develop creative solutions as part of an exciting time of growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end product development process, ensuring delivery on time and within budget
• Lead innovation across the category, identifying opportunities in market trends and consumer insight to develop the business moving forward.
• Auditing and understanding supply chain capabilities of external manufacturing
• Build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure products align with regulatory requirements and commercial goals
• Build and develop the NPD Function to support future needs

What are we looking for?

• A proven track record in NPD within pet food, ideally within Cat and Dog
• Strong commercial acumen to deliver successful products on budget
• Understanding of key market trends within the category
• Experience working with and auditing external manufacturing capabilities
