A well-known ice cream manufacturer in Northallerton is seeking a New Product Development assistant to help create ice cream and water ice mixes. You will be part of a friendly team, involved in product innovation, ensuring cleanliness and safety in the workspace. Ideal candidates will have GCSE education and strong communication skills. This role offers hands-on training and growth opportunities.

As part of our on-site New Product Development (NPD) team, you'll be involved in creating ice cream and water ice mixes inspired by different ideas. You'll also help keep the workspace clean and hygienic, report any issues with the kitchen equipment, and keep an eye out for anything that might affect our mixes, like consistency problems. Tracking ingredients to ensure we have enough supplies is also part of the mix. Plus, you'll receive hands-on training and help with freezing the product.
We'll start with thorough training to show you the different parts of the mixing process and how to freeze the products. This will give you a solid understanding of how the pilot plant operates and what you'll be responsible for.

The successful candidate will be educated to a minimum GCSE level, or equivalent, have basic IT skills, planning and organizational skills and able to work to deadlines. Other essential qualities to include good interpersonal and communication skills.
