IN A NUTSHELL

As a leading sports nutrition and health food manufacturer, we produce a wide range of products including powders, capsules, tablets, and soft gels at our own manufacturing facility. We also work with trusted UK and EU-based partners to develop our food products.

Joining our Innovation Team means playing a key role in shaping the future of sports nutrition. You’ll help us stay ahead of the curve and drive innovation across the UK and EU markets.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our in-house teams across Innovation, Regulatory, FSQ, Supply Chain, and Brand. You’ll work with both new and existing suppliers to conceptualise, develop, and launch a variety of products in the protein, performance, food and health and wellbeing categories. From formulating and flavouring new powder-based products to developing pill formats and improving existing formulas, your work will directly influence the products our customers rely on every day.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Formulate, flavour and launch new products: Support the end-to-end development of innovative products across protein, performance, health and wellbeing categories. Use your understanding of functional ingredients, flavour systems and nutritional science to bring exciting, high-performing products to market.
• Improve and redevelop existing formulations: Identify opportunities to enhance flavour, texture, efficacy or nutritional value of current products based on customer feedback, market standards and internal performance data.
• Produce EFSA-compliant product content: Create accurate, engaging and regulation-compliant product write-ups and articles for our website, ensuring all claims meet EU and UK regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with our Supply Chain team and external suppliers: Work closely with our internal Planning team and third-party manufacturers to manage timelines, troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth and timely delivery of products.
• Troubleshoot production blends: Act as a key support to manufacturing by diagnosing and resolving blend or formulation issues, helping to reduce production downtime and maintain quality standards.
• Analyse market trends: Stay informed on new trends, ingredients, formats and competitor activity within the sports nutrition and health food markets across the UK and EU, and bring proactive recommendations to the Innovation team.
• Write and proof product copy: Develop clear and compelling product copy for packaging and digital channels, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with the brand tone of voice.
• Project management from concept to launch: Own the full lifecycle of product development projects. Coordinate cross-functional teams, maintain timelines and budgets, and ensure all key milestones are met on the path to a successful launch.
  
  
  

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Ideally, you'll hold a Bachelor's in Sports/Science/Food Science/Nutrition or a similar degree.
• Scientific background/education and minimum 1 year in a relevant role.
• Keen interest in sports nutrition, ideally using sports nutrition products themselves and/or a good understanding of the key products on the market.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, and an excellent team player.
  
  
  

Nice To Have

• Experience with formulating and flavouring powder-based products would be advantageous.
• Sensory analysis experience would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of EFSA health claims would be advantageous.
