About the role: Are you passionate about the food industry? We are looking for a dynamic NPI Packaging Technologist to join our R&D team. In this role, you will ensure a standardized approach to New Packaging Introduction in our Dairy Butter Spreads and Plant-Based Butter Alternatives manufacturing facility in Ossett, West Yorkshire.

Key responsibilities: Are you ready to make a significant impact in dairy and plant-based products? Your tasks will include:

  • Identifying opportunities and leading projects to improve packaging sustainability
  • Collaborating with internal teams, suppliers, customers, and marketing to ensure excellence in packaging introduction
  • Conducting trials, establishing process controls, and validating packaging standards
  • Managing activities related to new packaging introduction using various systems
  • Coordinating with outside agencies and suppliers for artwork approval
  • Supporting process and profit improvement projects, ensuring quality, safety, and legal compliance
  • Building strong relationships with marketing, operations, and commercial teams
  • Staying updated on packaging market trends, regulations, and customer requirements
  • Presenting packaging samples and concepts to stakeholders

Qualifications and skills: You should have:

  • BSc in food science or equivalent; packaging qualifications are a plus
