Job summary

North Star Day Nursery in Welwyn, part of GrandirUK, is opening in early 2027, and we are seeking enthusiastic Nursery Practitioners to join our team.

You will provide high-quality care for babies to preschool, plan engaging activities, and support children's development while building strong relationships with parents in a warm, safe, EYFS-aligned environment. Competitive salary and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent.
• Genuine passion for supporting young children's development.
• Caring, patient and positive approach to care.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to a new nursery team.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care, support and education for children from babies to preschool.
• Plan and support fun, engaging activities that encourage learning and development.
• Support children's communication, confidence, independence and social skills.
• Create a safe, caring and stimulating environment where every child feels valued.
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers, keeping them involved in progress.
• Work closely with colleagues to deliver high standards of care in line with EYFS.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety procedures to ensure wellbeing.
