Are you an ATT qualified tax professional looking for your next opportunity in personal tax? We are working with a respected firm in Hungerford, Berkshire, who are seeking a Tax Senior to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge and a passion for client service to take the next step in their tax career.
The Role:
This position focuses primarily on personal tax compliance, while also offering exposure to trusts and estates work, capital gains tax, and support on more complex advisory projects. You’ll work closely with both clients and senior colleagues, ensuring high standards of service and technical delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review personal tax returns in line with current UK tax legislation
Assist with trust and estate tax compliance, including IHT forms and trust registrations
Handle 60-day CGT UK Property Returns
Liaise directly with clients, answering queries and offering tailored advice
Support Senior Management on larger tax planning and advisory projects through research and analysis
Provide assistance to colleagues across the firm on general tax matters
Manage correspondence with HMRC, including filing and follow-ups
Stay up to date with the latest tax legislation and compliance updates
About You:
Essential:
ATT qualified or equivalent practical experience in UK personal tax
Strong understanding of personal tax legislation and compliance processes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail and organisational ability
Confident using tax software and Microsoft Office applications
Desirable:
Experience working with trusts, estates, and inheritance tax
Prior involvement in a private client environment
Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct tax research
