Job description

New Graduate Vet – Castle, Fromus and Eagle Veterinary Group, Suffolk - New Graduate Programme - Small Animal Vet

Spanning the beautiful Suffolk countryside and coast, the Fromus, Castle, and Eagle Veterinary groups are seeking a New Graduate Vet to join our team. We have a strong group of vets with diverse interests, supported by experienced nurses and a fantastic front-of-house team.

We offer a varied caseload with adequate time for thorough work-ups. Our practice also provides a cardiology referral service to local practices through our two certificate holders. We are eager to support and invest in your training and qualifications if this interests you. Recently, we installed a new dental x-ray machine, which we are excited to utilize alongside our usual equipment and facilities.

This is a full-time, permanent position with Saturdays on a rota and no OOHs.

Alongside our modern facilities and busy caseload, you'll have access to a range of benefits and our tailored New Graduate programme. This includes a dedicated clinical mentor and participation in CPD days focused on clinical and non-clinical skills such as self-leadership, teamwork, wellbeing, resilience, and business skills. You'll also have the opportunity to share experiences with fellow graduates.

Programme Benefits:

  1. Paid onboarding phase including a Residential, with all UK travel, accommodation, and subsistence costs covered by CVS.
  2. Salary of £35,000, increasing after year 1 and year 2 of the programme.
  3. No financial tie-in beyond programme completion.
  4. Professional memberships (RCVS & VDS).
  5. Up to 7 weeks annual leave plus Bank Holidays, with the Buy/Sell holiday scheme for additional leave.
  6. An extra day of leave each year for the first 5 years at CVS.
  7. 10 CPD days annually covering clinical and non-clinical skills, tailored to your role.
  8. A trained clinical buddy to support your transition from student to qualified vet, with regular meetings.
  9. Workplace pension scheme.
  10. Discounted pet treatments.
  11. Employee Assistance Programme offering 24/7 support.
  12. Discounted UK gym membership with Gym Flex.
  13. Internal transfer opportunities across our network of over 500 practices.
