Job Title: New Equipment Engineer

Location: Scotland

Otis is growing and is looking for an installation mechanic for our Scotland-based team. Your main responsibility will be to ensure the safety of passengers and stakeholders by safely installing elevator and escalator units.

On a typical day, you will:

  1. Install new elevators to high standards of quality and efficiency.
  2. Work safely in accordance with Environmental Health & Safety guidelines.
  3. Travel to customer sites and stay overnight when required.
  4. Support and work with customers on-site.
  5. Conduct inspections before and after installation to ensure safety and quality standards.

What you need to be successful:

  1. Qualified mechanic with knowledge of elevator equipment and installation principles.
  2. Qualified to install elevators according to your country's standards.
  3. Driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
  4. At least 6 months of experience in elevator installation or related site work.
  5. Good electrical and mechanical skills.
  6. Ability to read plans and perform calculations.
  7. Interest in technical products and new technologies.
  8. Enjoy manual trades and seeing projects through to completion.
