Job summary

Waltham School is seeking a passionate New entrant teacher to join their vibrant community for a fixed-term role. This full-time position focuses on fostering learning and relationships with students in primary education from July to December 2025. The ideal candidate will bring culturally responsive practices and a commitment to supporting all learners.

Waltham Primary School Te Kura o Tūpuni

Our vibrant and multicultural kura is seeking an outstanding junior school teacher to join our team from the start of term 3, 2025. For the right candidate, there may be flexibility with the start date and initial days of work.

We value inclusion, collaboration and championing the individual things that make young people special and unique. If you are passionate about fostering a love for learning, developing meaningful and trusting relationships with tamariki and their whānau, and leading by example, then Waltham is the place for you.

The successful person will be proven in their ability to:

  • Build strong connections and positive relationships with ākonga, whānau, colleagues and the wider community
  • Demonstrate culturally responsive practice
  • Demonstrate knowledge commitment to supporting neurodiverse students
  • Demonstrate knowledge and commitment to Structured Literacy (knowledge of BSLA is advantageous)
