Job Description:

The CITB is seeking a New Entrant Retention Adviser to support our efforts in the construction sector. The role involves engaging with employers to support the retention of apprentices and new entrants, providing guidance, and managing a portfolio of employer relationships to ensure high retention and achievement rates.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Conduct target-driven activities to increase retention among new entrants in construction trades.
  2. Manage a schedule of employer contacts to support retention and generate referrals to increase training uptake.
  3. Plan workload to provide regular retention support to a high volume of customers.
  4. Assist employers in claiming funding support such as CITB Apprenticeship Grant, Travel to Train, Levy Transfer, and other local initiatives.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams to refer and support customers through NEST Advisors, Engagement Advisors, and the Levy or Grant team.
  6. Educate employers on the benefits of recruiting apprentices.
  7. Understand employer needs and demonstrate CITB’s value to set appointments and generate new business.
  8. Share best practices and maintain up-to-date knowledge of CITB offerings.
  9. Accurately record customer engagement activities using CRM tools.

This role requires self-management, motivation, and effective relationship management with internal and external stakeholders. It does not have direct reports but involves managing a diverse employer caseload to deliver collaborative solutions.
