Business Development Team Lead

Must be commutable to our Tamworth contact centre.

£35,020 per annum OTE £50,000

We are currently recruiting an Office-based Team Leader to join the Desk Based New Business BDM team in our Tamworth Contact Centre.

As a Brakes Team Leader, you'll be responsible for leading and motivating a team of New Business Development Managers.

You will be directly accountable for recruiting, selecting, and developing your team, fostering a culture of empowerment to maximize sales and service opportunities.

You will serve as the key communication link between advisors and the wider business, ensuring effective communication across your team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and motivating 8-12 Desk Based BDMs, ensuring their development to reach their full potential.
  • Supporting the Inside Sales Manager in executing the department's strategic plan, including participating in projects as needed.
  • Identifying and managing pipeline opportunities to increase revenue and enhance customer experience.
  • Encouraging team participation in incentives and process improvements, with clear goal setting.
  • Engaging in strategic planning, coaching, training facilitation, and achieving KPI metrics.

Ideal candidate profile:

  • Proven experience at team manager or supervisor level, preferably in a contact centre, with a track record in onboarding new business activity.
  • Confident, self-motivated, with a positive attitude and strong commercial acumen.
  • Customer-centric approach in dealings with customers, peers, staff, and suppliers.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, capable of working under pressure and prioritizing tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
