Job Description

We are recruiting for an Office-based Team Leader to join the Desk Based New Business BDM team in our Tamworth Contact Centre.

As a Brakes Team Leader, you'll be responsible for leading and motivating a team of New Business Development Managers.

You will be accountable for recruitment, selection, and the ongoing performance and development of your team, fostering a culture of empowerment where every sale and service opportunity is maximized.

You will serve as the key communication link between advisors and the wider business, ensuring effective communication across your team.

What you'll be doing:
  • Managing and motivating 8-12 Desk Based BDMs to reach their full potential.
  • Supporting the Inside Sales Manager in executing the department's strategic plan, including participating in projects.
  • Managing pipeline opportunities to enhance revenue and customer experience.
  • Encouraging team participation in incentives and process improvements with clear goal setting.
  • Engaging in strategic planning, coaching, training facilitation, and KPI achievement.
What we are looking for:
  • Experience as a team manager or supervisor, preferably in a contact centre, with a proven track record in onboarding new business activity.
  • Confident, self-motivated, with a positive attitude and strong commercial acumen.
  • Customer-centric approach in dealings with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, capable of working under pressure and prioritizing tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
