Overview

New Business Property & Casualty Underwriter – Manchester – Hybrid

IPS Group are working with a Global Insurance Company that offers a wide range insurance offering to diverse clients across several countries with a significant presence across the UK.

Being one of the world’s largest insurers, they are seeking a New Business Underwriter to join their well-established P&C Underwriter in Manchester. This is a fantastic opening for someone who wants to focus on New Business in the mid-market division. The organisation is really looking for someone who can offer their expertise and drive forward growth.

Role and Team

In this role, you will be dealing with property and casualty policies across the mid-market segment. The business has a diverse appetite so it can write risks as either a combined product or singular with premiums starting from 10k with no upper ceiling due to their corporate offering.

You will be part of an overall team of 6 that has a mixture of experience so you will have the opportunity to learn from your peers but also drive growth in this pocket of business. You will be supported by the wider group and Underwriting Managers who are based in the other regional offices.

Responsibilities

• Deal with property and casualty policies for the mid-market segment.
• Engage with a diverse appetite for risks, written as either combined products or individuals.
• Contribute to growth within the mid-market portfolio and collaborate with regional teams.
