Job summary

Zurich in Manchester is seeking an experienced New Business Property & Cancellation Underwriter to join our high-performing underwriting team. You will assess and underwrite new P&C opportunities, drive profitable growth, and build strong relationships with brokers and clients.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in P&C underwriting and new business development.
• Strong risk assessment and pricing ability.
• Excellent communication with brokers and clients.
• ACII qualification or progress toward it preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and underwrite new P&C business per guidelines.
• Evaluate risk exposures and determine coverage terms and pricing.
• Collaborate with brokers to gather information and negotiate opportunities.
• Stay updated on market developments and regulatory changes.
• Build relationships to support growth and retention.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
