Our client is a leading B2B media and events company serving the financial services sector across Europe. With a reputation for delivering high-quality content, events, and marketing solutions to asset managers and professional investors, they are now expanding into a new commercial vertical focused on the sell-side and trading ecosystem.

Role Summary

The client is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to lead revenue growth across the sell-side and trading segment, including service providers, liquidity providers, exchanges, law firms, data vendors, and related platforms.

This role also involves building and monetising a new audience of buy-side traders, creating opportunities to connect this group with sell-side participants through tailored media, content, and event-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and grow commercial relationships with sell-side firms (market makers, exchanges, legal/data/index providers)

Sell multi-channel marketing and event solutions including sponsorships, digital campaigns, content packages, and advertising

Build and nurture a new community of buy-side trading professionals and identify monetisation opportunities

Work closely with internal teams to align audience development and messaging with commercial goals

Identify client needs, manage full sales cycle, and contribute to new product development

Candidate Profile

3-6 years' experience in B2B sales, commercial media, or financial services

Experience working with clients in capital markets, trading, or related financial ecosystems preferred

Track record of consultative selling across multi-product solutions (media, events, content)

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Organised, entrepreneurial, and motivated by growth opportunities
