New Business Development Manager

As aNew Business Development Manager you willthrive on uncovering opportunities, developing tailored solutions, and managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to close. In this pivotal role, you’ll build strong relationships, provide bespoke solutions, and contribute to increased sales across the organisation. You'll be responsible for creating and progressing a healthy pipeline working strategically to achieve long-term sales targets. Through outreach, networking, and insight, you’ll help connect more businesses to our services.

About the role:

  • Proactively generate outbound leads, build a strong pipeline, and manage the full sales cycle from first contact to close.
  • Use a consultative, data-informed approach to understand prospect needs and offer tailored solutions.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders in large, complex organisations.
  • Represent Verifile at industry events to elevate our brand and uncover new opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to progress deals with transparency and integrity.
  • Use CRM and sales tools to plan, forecast, and continuously improve sales performance.
  • Champion continuous improvement and lead with a positive, proactive mindset.

The must haves:

  • Proven track record of closing high-value, enterprise-level deals.
  • Experience selling into large organisations (5,000+ employees) with complex stakeholder structures.
  • Exposure to managing long, consultative sales cycles involving multiple decision-makers.
  • Experience of using AI or modern sales technologies to drive insights and performance.
  • Strong understanding of structured sales methodologies (e.g. MEDDIC)
  • Experience of interpreting data to make informed decisions with a commercial mindset.

The nice to haves:

  • Understanding of HR or recruitment industry trends and challenges is desirable.
