Job summary

Howden is seeking a New Business Commercial Account Handler to join the SME team in Caterham. The role focuses on delivering exceptional service while supporting sales targets in a collaborative, inclusive environment, with the option to work 2-3 days a week in our Caterham office.

You will produce professional summaries, issue renewal documentation, ensure premium collection and cross-sell across divisions, leveraging Acturis and the diary system for efficient case management.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Certificate in Insurance (desirable).
• Knowledge of Commercial Insurance and GDPR within a sales environment.
• Excellent client service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in achieving Group/Division client New Business sales targets by providing an excellent level of service.
• Produce and issue professional summaries and reports using Howden templates.
• Issue renewal documentation in line with contract certainty.
• Ensure premiums are collected prior to the commencement of cover and in line with Howden procedures.
• Prioritise and handle all work promptly and accurately.
• Record all relevant information, correspondence, and documentation on Acturis and make effective use of the diary system.
• Produce accurate and professional documentation at all times using relevant Howden templates.
• Process adjustments in line with procedures, including notification to insurers, issue of revised documentation, and collection of additional premiums.
• Actively cross-sell products from other Divisions.
