Job description

New Business Account Director Global Sales Europe

We’re looking for someone who knows how to open doors, spark conversations, and turn opportunities into lasting relationships. If you’re commercially minded, quick to spot growth potential, and confident navigating fast-moving industries, this could be your next big move. You’ll be based Windsor, working across Europe, to develop new business in high-impact segments like Entertainment, Media, Sports and Group Leisure - helping drive real results for IHG.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Identify and develop new customer relationships across Entertainment, Media, Sports, and Group Leisure segments to drive transient, group, and speciality revenue.
  • Actively prospect and convert unmanaged accounts, using a data-driven approach to grow the team’s commercial footprint.
  • Collaborate with hotels to target and win high-impact accounts, supporting promotions and tactical campaigns that deliver during need periods.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities, negotiating contracts that benefit both IHG and our customers.
  • Represent IHG at industry events and in cross-regional sales efforts to strengthen inbound and outbound revenue generation.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience managing a portfolio of high-growth international accounts, using commercial insight and long-term strategy.
  • A successful track record of developing new business.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Entertainment, Media, Sports, or Group Leisure segments—ideally with a strong Sports background.
  • Skilled in consultative selling methodologies like Challenger Sales or Helping Clients Succeed.
  • Confident negotiator with the ability to align hotel and customer goals in mutually beneficial contracts.
  • Fluency in English and ideally other European languages.
