About The Role

Working Hours: 35 Hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent / Full Term

Additional Payments: Essential car user allowance

This role is subject to:

  • Social Work Qualification and registration with Social Work England.
  • Essential Car Documentation - This post is a designated Essential Car User. You must hold a full valid driving licence and provide your own car for work. You will receive the Essential Car User Allowance.

  • Willingness to travel within Manchester city boundaries.
The New Arrivals Team seeks a Social Worker to join our vibrant, diverse team. This role focuses on Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC).
We work with UASC across Manchester to ensure the best outcomes, supporting all aspects of their care, including concerns around trafficking and immigration. We support children from arrival through to adulthood.
Ideal candidates are child-focused, passionate, and have experience working with migrant families. You will support key social workers to develop progressive plans for children and young people, helping them reach their potential and achieve stability.
We foster strong, supportive teams that emphasize solution-focused and trauma-informed approaches. We offer ongoing training, professional development, and a supportive work culture.
