Team / Role Overview:

NARM is a part of the ERM organization responsible for designing and implementing firm-wide frameworks and practices fundamental to Risk Management within Citi. It includes the New Activity Approval Process, which ensures robust diligence, review, and approval for new or modified products, services, and capabilities, with ongoing controls. The team consists of approximately 100 individuals worldwide, mainly New Activity Risk Managers responsible for risk management of new activity proposals.

In early 2024, a Performance team was established within NARM to optimize approval times for new activities. This team of 4, based in London, supports NARM by enhancing operational discipline, managing portfolios, solving problems, and generating insights to improve pipeline velocity and efficiency.

The successful candidate will report to the Global Head of Performance for NARM, focusing on as a Global Performance Analyst covering all Businesses. Typically, around 200 proposals are in various stages of approval at any time. Your key responsibilities include: (1) Producing reports and analytics on the proposal pipeline, and (2) Supporting Performance Managers to unblock or accelerate proposals towards approval targets.

What you’ll do:

• Enhance and produce performance reports (daily, weekly, monthly): proposal stages, approval durations, reviewer times.
• Create ad-hoc reports and perform deep dives into reviewer functions or business areas.
• Identify areas lacking insights and collaborate with stakeholders to develop them.
• Work with Change Delivery to automate analytics production where possible.
• Monitor pipeline aging to ensure timely proposal processing.
• Support project management for specific proposals requiring special attention.
• Learn from Global Performance Managers to cover their responsibilities in their absence.

What we'll need from you:

We seek a self-motivated individual eager to learn and develop. The role can be based in Belfast or Dublin, with the rest of the team in London. Essential qualities include strong communication, teamwork, and initiative.

• Experience in fast-paced industries like Financial Services.
• Proficiency in Excel (XLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.) for data analysis.
• Experience with Tableau is highly desirable for analytics delivery.
• Comfort in using PowerPoint to present insights to senior groups.
• Project management skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
• Proactive and ownership-driven attitude.
• Resilience under pressure and a strong work ethic.
• High integrity and confidentiality management skills.
