The North West Regional Neurosurgical Department at Lancashire Teaching Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated registered nurse to join our well established Neurovascular Team. The role involves coordinating the neurovascular pathway for both inpatient and outpatients within this area of expertise.
You will work alongside other clinical colleagues in, neurosurgery, and neuroradiology to ensure quality of care to the patients is maximised. This is a pivotal role to ensure effective decision making between disciplines to ensure prompt, appropriate management for each patient. You will be responsible for working collaboratively to mange a caseload of both acute and elective Neurovascular Patients in the inpatient and outpatient setting. The role will involve supporting the patient and family through the diagnosis , treatment and follow up. Neurosurgical experience would be beneficial.
This role will include contribution to the development of clinical guidelines, audit & staff education. Lancashire Teaching Hospitals is renowned for our teaching, training and support with modern educational facilities and simulation suites.
As a Neurovascular Specialist Nurse, you'll be at the heart of managing patients with both elective and emergency presentations across the North West region. Working alongside expert teams in Neurosurgery and Neuroradiology, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional care.
You'll be integral to assessing the holistic care needs of patients, helping to shape and implement care plans, and evaluating their progress throughout their journey. Your expertise will be invaluable as you provide support and guidance to a specialized group of patients and their families--both during their treatment and after discharge.
