Job summary

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Physiologist for a fixed-term 12-month maternity cover in the Neurophysiology Directorate. The role covers routine and specialist EEG, sleep studies, ambulatory video EEG and evoked potentials across adults and children, with monthly duties on the Isle of Man.

The successful applicant will join a team providing high-quality neurophysiology services across multiple sites, and will rotate to Nobles Hospital, Isle of Man as part of

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) Healthcare Science (Neurophysiology) or equivalent is required.
• Three years' practical trainee experience in a neurophysiology unit.
• Experience of working with both adults and children.
• Evidence of investigations performed with and without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine and non-routine neurophysiology services across trust departments.
• Independently perform routine EEGs on patients of all ages, including neonates.
• Perform sleep studies, ambulatory video EEG, and evoked potentials.
• Write comprehensive factual reports in line with departmental protocols.
• Work on a rota across neurophysiology sites, including Isle of Man monthly EEG service.
