Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join the pain neuromodulation team. The role involves guiding patients through referrals, implants, and follow-up, with involvement in pre-operative and peri-operative care and long-term management.

There is a focus on research and data collection as the service expands. The post requires recent band 5 or equivalent experience in related practice, with an interest in movement disorders/neuroscience.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Interest or experience in movement disorders/neuroscience is preferred.
• Flexible approach to working hours and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients throughout the pathway from referral to implant and follow-up.
• Participate in pre-operative assessment, peri-operative care and long-term management.
• Develop skills in neurostimulation programming, interrogation and troubleshooting after training.
• Document in line with NMC requirements and contribute to clinical activity/data collection.
• Support discharge planning and liaise with involved teams to enable timely discharge.
