An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Neurology Administration and Typing support to join our excellent Pan Dorset Neurology service at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust. This role will be based at the Poole Hospital site.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated individual with excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. You will enjoy working as part of a busy team and be able to communicate effectively with various staff groups.
The post holder will support the Consultant PA's and other members of the Neurology team with a suite of administrative tasks, including:
The post holder will be required to liaise with all levels of staff, ensure that the telephone is always attended during normal working hours, and relay messages appropriately. You will also be responsible for the safe transportation of patient notes in and out of the department.
To provide a multi-skilled administrative service to the Medical Secretaries to enable the service to run efficiently. Staff recruited are expected to be available to work flexibly across all our Trust locations to meet service demands.
The ideal candidate will be looking for an opportunity to develop their knowledge of the Quality and Risk landscape within a healthcare setting. We would welcome applicants who have experience of working within healthcare or those with transferrable skills from outside the NHS.
