Job summary

The Bridge in Middlesbrough, operated by Elysium Healthcare, seeks a Therapy Assistant to support multidisciplinary teams in delivering neurological and complex care services. You will assist with one-to-one and group activities, aiming to enhance independence and recovery for service users.

Under supervision, you’ll help plan and adjust therapies, maintain records, and participate in safety and professional development activities within a care-driven environment.

Qualifications

• GNVQ 3 or willingness to undergo training.
• Experience working in a care and/or therapy environment.
• Able to complete in-service training to support therapists.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and learn quickly.
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team player with understanding of confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Carry out one-to-one and group therapeutic activities under supervision.
• Support service users on recovery goals and encourage independence.
• Participate in evaluation of service provisions and record observations.
• Maintain accurate written/computerised documentation.
• Ensure safety and confidentiality in all sessions.
