Youwill work as a vital member of the Inpatient Therapy Team at DanesburyNeurological Centre which specialises in the treatment and management of peoplewith acute neurological conditions. Working as part of the wider MDT, you will provide specialist occupational therapy assessment and treatment packages to patients with neurologicalrehabilitation needs, as well as deliver comprehensive discharge planning. Youwill provide expert advice, guidance and information to health and social careprofessionals, carers and relatives and other non-professionals.
To perform occupational therapeutic assessmentof patients who have a neurological condition with diverse physical andcognitive presentations, to provide a diagnosis and develop and deliver anindividualised treatment programme. To hold responsibility for own case load,working with supervision from a senior Occupational Therapist. Supervisiontakes the form of regular formal training and clinical reasoning sessions, peerreview, case conferences and reflective practice. To undertake all aspects ofclinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
