The successful candidate will work as specialist nurse in the Neurodiversity Enfield team for children 0-6. This is a multidisciplinary team which is designed to provide a needs-led, family-centered approach for children under the age of six with neurodivergent learning needs.The Neurodiversity Team includes (but is not limited to) parents, speech and language therapists (SLT), occupational therapists (OT), paediatricians, clinical psychologists, administrators, the voluntary sector, and educators.
As part of the role you will be required to be a keyworker for a large number of families, and as such, will take the role of primarily liaison for the family in both positive and challenging times. The candidate will be expected to provide emotional and social support to parents and carers with additional needs and their families
The post holder will have a key role in completing checks such as weight and height, carrying out physical health checks, advising parents on conditions such as epilepsy and medication management. They will also be able to provide additional strategies to support and manage behaviours, promote sleep, continence and diet.
