Job description

A fantastic opportunity to support neurodivergent adults (autism, ADHD, Tourettes, etc.) into work or career progression. You'll be based in the Barnsley office with some local outreach, meeting around five clients a day, mainly in person.

Support varies from CV writing and job searching to confidence-building and accompanying clients into town to hand out CVs. Some may already be employed and looking to progress. No formal diagnosis needed just a flexible, person-led approach.

Youll support clients with their employment goals, build referral relationships (e.g. JCP, social prescribers), and connect with local employers. The team works collaboratively toward shared outcomes its all about impact, not pressure.

Whats On Offer

  • A warm, supportive team and strong leadership
  • CPD including IEP membership, suicide awareness and LGBTQ+ training
  • Strategy days every six months so you are a part of the charities journey and how they move forward

Background in support, education, or employability e.g. Job Coach, Careers Adviser, Social Prescriber, Housing Officer or Probation Officer. But what matters most is your ability to build rapport, encourage, and adapt with a career history that can demonstrate this. People with a support worker background are good as long as its support as in helping people to achieve their own goals as opposed to care related.
