Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a professional with significant experience working with children who have additional developmental needs to join our dedicated team!

About the Child Development Centre (CDC)

The CDC is a child-friendly hub providing a nurturing environment for pre-school and school-age children to be seen and their development assessed by a multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will coordinate and participate in developmental assessments, supporting children and families throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver high standards of care to patients and their families, particularly in assessing children with developmental concerns.
  2. Participate in department management to ensure smooth operations in the absence of senior staff.
  3. Support own professional development and contribute to creating a high standards of clinical practice.
  4. Assist in the management and organization of the Child Development Centre.
  5. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to meet the needs of children and families.
  6. Use knowledge of neurodevelopmental needs to inform assessments, including undertaking ADOS when required.
  7. Maintain accurate patient records and communicate effectively with patients, families, and visitors.
  8. Engage in evidence-based practice, contribute to audits, and adhere to trust policies and safety guidelines.
  9. Contribute to service development to ensure excellent patient care aligned with NHS goals, NICE guidelines, and local initiatives.
